How to make chicken curry

Simple Chicken curry


Olive oil – 3.0 tbsp

onion chopped – 1.0 pc

Garlic minced – 2.0 clove.

Curry powder – 3.0 tbsp.

ground Cinnamon – 1.0tsp.

paprika – 1.0tsp.

Bay leaf – 1.0pc.

Fresh Ginger Root – 0.5 tsp

whitesugar – 0.5tsp.

salt – as per taste.

skinless boneless chiken breast – 2.0 pc

tomato paste – 1.0 tbsp.

plane yogurt – 1.0 cup.

Coconut milk – 0.75 cup.

lemon juice – 0.5 tsp.

Cayennae pepper – 0.5 tsp


heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat.

saute Onion until lightly browned. Stir in garlic , curry powder, cinnamon, paprika , bay leaf , ginger, sugar and salt.

continue stirring for 2 min. Add chicken pieces , tomato paste , yogurt and coconut milk.Bring to a boil and reduced heat and simmer for 20 to 25 min.

Remove bay leaf and stir in lemon juice and cayenne pepper . Simmer 5 more minutes.

Serve it.

Special microwave chiken curry


chiken breast – 1.0 lb.

onion – 2.0 pc

garlic – 2.0 clove.

ginger root – 1.0pc.

cinnamon – 2.0 pc.

Clove – 6. 0 pc.

cardamom – 1.0 clove.

Bay – 2.0 leaf

paprika – 1.0tsp.

brown sugar – 2.0 tbsp.

Bell pepper chopped – 1.0 pc.

black pepper – 1.0tsp

ketchup – 1.0 tbsp.

Salt – 1.0 tsp.


chop onion , garlic and garlic root into a small pieces .

optionally these can be put in the blender for a few seconds.

some indian store carry ginger and garlic paste which would be a better option.

If paste is available , use 1 teaspoon garlic and 2 teaspoon Ginger paste .

Mix all ingredients including a chiken in a large microwavable bowl and place in it a cool place or in the refrigerator for one hour.

microwave on high for 10 min.remove container from the microwave and stir well and then put it in again for another 20 min.
It’s a great with rice and chappaties/ parotas.
